WHAT THIS DOES

How The Tool Works

This page loads one YouTube video at a time. You can play it normally, or turn on dynamic chatter mode so the volume fades in, stays active for a while, fades out, then rests in a quiet period before repeating.

The goal is to make speech or radio audio feel more like intermittent comms in the background instead of nonstop constant sound.

ON-PAGE TIMING CONTROLS

Dynamic Chatter Timing

These sliders let you choose a minimum and maximum time for quiet periods and active chatter periods. The tool will randomly choose a time inside each range.

Quiet time minimum: 10 seconds

Quiet time maximum: 30 seconds

Active chatter minimum: 15 seconds

Active chatter maximum: 40 seconds

Fade duration: 5 seconds

Beginner note: the sliders change the timing live on the page, but the default starting values are stored near the top of script.js.

Suggested Use

Paste a long-form radio, aviation, or tactical ambience source.
Load the player, then press play once.
Turn on dynamic chatter mode for intermittent background comms.
Adjust volume and timing sliders until the mix feels right for your session.
